Established in 1993 to cater for students of Marton Public School, the centre is run by a volunteer parent committee and managed by a Coordinator. It is situated within the grounds of Marton Public School in Engadine and provides quality before and after school care for children aged 5 — 12 years during the school terms.
To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment that offers encouragement, support, understanding, acceptance, sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of each child to help them build a positive self-image as well as a sense of belonging.
In 2012 we adopted and implemented the New Quality Framework regulations and the seven quality areas from the Before and After School Care Framework “My Time, Our Place”.
Marton Activity Centre considers every child to be a unique individual and through our programmes and policies we endeavour to provide the highest quality care in order to make sure that children are happy, safe, stimulated and cared for in a welcoming and family type environment.
